eFootball terms, explained.

Dream Team

Dream Team is eFootball's main squad-building mode, where you assemble your own custom club by acquiring player cards and Manager tactics, then upgrade and level them up over time.

Authentic Teams

Authentic teams in eFootball are real licensed clubs played with their actual squads and fixed player ratings, rather than a custom-built roster.

Squad Mode

Squad mode is the rule a competition sets for what kind of team players bring — typically Dream Team (custom-built) or Authentic (real clubs with fixed squads).

Player Condition

Player condition (or form) is eFootball's per-match performance indicator, ranging from Terrible to Excellent, that nudges how well a player performs that game.

Round-robin

A round-robin is a league format where every participant plays every other participant — once in a single round-robin, or twice (home and away) in a double round-robin.

Knockout (Single-elimination)

A knockout, or single-elimination tournament, is a bracket where the loser of each match is eliminated and winners advance until one champion remains.

Group Stage

A group stage splits entrants into small round-robin groups; the top finishers from each group advance to a knockout phase.

Goal Difference & Tiebreakers

Goal difference is goals scored minus goals conceded; it's the most common tiebreaker used to separate players level on points in a league or group.

Two-legged Tie (Home & Away)

A two-legged tie is a matchup decided over two games — one at each player's 'home' — with the aggregate score across both legs determining who advances.

Walkover (W.O.)

A walkover is a result awarded when one player fails to play their scheduled match — the opponent is given the win so the competition can continue.

Elo is a rating system that estimates a player's skill from their results: you gain points for beating stronger opponents and lose more for losing to weaker ones.
